The World of Barbra Streisand Movies

Barbra Streisand has made 16 feature films in a career in movies which has spanned almost 30 years. She has proven herself as a dramatic actress as well as a commedian. But most importantly has shown herself a competent and wonderful director, begining with her first effort Yentl, which was well recieved by most critics, as well as the fans. Her next effort The Prince of Tides, an adaption from the best selling novel by Pat Conroy, was critically acclaimed garnering Academy award nominations for best picture, as well as for best actor Nick Nolte among others. For Tides, she finally gained the title, "film maker". The last and most recent was a film released November of 1996 entitled the MIrror Has Two Faces, which was not well recieved by critics, but did well for a romantic comedy as far as box office business. There where movies as well in between. Some where good and some so so. I'll try in this part of The World of Barbra to give a little background, and info on each flick. As I always say, Enjoy!!!
